About the People & Culture Team:

The People & Culture team is at the heart of Uniplaces, playing a central role in supporting all Uniplacers throughout their journey with us - from finding amazing talent to developing and enabling them to become rock stars. Our mission is to implement People practices & processes that meet the company’s present and future needs, as we combine our passion for people with the business acumen and mindset.

As an HR Generalist, you will be working alongside Uniplaces’ People & Culture team, by sourcing and engaging with the best talent in the world and supporting in delivering an amazing and robust employee experience to some of the most inspiring professionals around.

What is going to be your role?

Your responsibilities will be related with:

  • New joiners onboarding - to make sure our new joiners have a pleasant experience from day 1. This counts as the day an offer letter is signed and includes: sending the hiring package and collecting all the relevant information, prepare and send contractual documents, NIF requests, communicating the new joiners list to our payroll, health insurance and work-medicine providers, request for meal allowance, and others;
  • People engagement - to discuss ideas to improve the Uniplacers well-being, namely, team-building moments and events, new partnerships & discounts;
  • Recruitment - to have an active role in the recruitment processes, only when needed. This means: update jobs on the websites, screen candidates, schedule interviews, and being present on them;
  • Payroll - to have an amazing responsibility with all the activities related to the payroll;
  • Admin - to support all the admin needs and ensure the HRIS system is updated with valid employee data;
  • Others - to deal with day-to-day people operations tasks and contact our providers.

Now, what are we looking for?

Experienced or with not that much experience, we are mainly looking for skills and the right attitude. We want a high-performing HR Generalist who stops at no obstacle and is a militant hustler in delivering results. Key requirements are:

  • We are open about having a recent graduate or a 1-2 years experienced folk (in case you feel more experienced, please don't dismiss the application!);
  • Background: BSc or MSc in HR Management, Psychology, Law, International Relations or similar;
  • Start-up or international experience working will be highly valued;
  • Fluent English and Portuguese - written and spoken. Other languages are a plus;
  • Personality traits: sociable and easy-going;
  • Passionate about human interaction;
  • Detail-oriented and super organized;
  • Driven by results and high performance.


  • This is a full-time position, 40 hours a week;
  • Starting date: as soon as possible;
  • Remotely working from Lisbon (mandatory).
