Join Us as a Finance Manager!

As a Finance Manager at Uniplaces, you will report directly to our CFO. You will lead key financial operations and be responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and high-quality reporting. This role is both hands-on and strategic, requiring ownership of daily financial processes while supporting long-term financial planning efforts.

The Finance Manager will be responsible for a range of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory obligations.

  • Prepare financial statements to meet reporting requirements.

  • Lead monthly and annual closing processes with accuracy and timeliness.

  • Monitor and optimize cash flow.

  • Partner with Product, Operations, and Marketing teams to support financial analysis for ad-hoc projects.

Job requirements

What We’re Looking For:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field;

  • 5+ years of experience in finance roles such as accounting, FP&A, or audit;

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (essential) & Google Sheets (preferred);

  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) and Portuguese (desirable);

  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems (Netsuite is a Plus);

  • Interest and knowledge of marketplace business models;

  • Previous experience in online/technology/start up environment is a plus;

  • Ability to build effective relationships with financial or non-financial and internal or external stakeholders, e.g. sales, finance, operations, marketing;

  • Analytical and detail-oriented.

📌 Important Details

  • This is a remote-based role.

  • Access to a co-working office in Lisbon, Monday to Friday.

  • Requires availability of 40H per week.
